| This is just something else that I found wrong with my Z. Admin, feel free to move to tech if needed. When tearing into my Z's engine bay I found the fuel temp sensor like this. Hanging with a wire wrapped around it leading to one of the plenum bolts for a ground.
It could not be screwed into place because of the obstruction from the plenum runner and the obstruction from the edge of the injector holding plate on the Border fuel rail. I guess someone forgot to install it before installing the plenum so they tried to take an easy way out.

I removed the obstructions with a dremel and removed the blue coating around the area where the surface of the bottom of the fuel temp sensor will contact the fuel rail for a better ground. That coating can cause an insulated condition.
 Fuel temp sensor installed.
Connector installed. A tight fit but still ok.
It was easier to do it this way than to remove the plenum and I couldn't get to the other side of the injector holding plate without dremeling the other plenum runner.
